CARLTON LEE KELLUM SR.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 6, 2018, Carlton Lee Kellum Sr., 69, of Hayes, died at his home.

A native of Gloucester, he carried on the family heritage of working on the water. Carlton was an avid waterman and as a young boy he began working on the water. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and most of all was an individual who cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Kellum, and mother, Lizellen Kellum; six sisters and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Diane Kellum; daughter, Valerie Kellum; sons, Carlton Kellum Jr. and Jeffrey Kellum; grandchildren, Hunter, Connar, Bryson and Forrest, and sisters, Barbara Bonniville (Clarence) and Hallie Bell Thompson.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service on Monday from 1-2 at the funeral home.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to the Grace Hospice nurses and staff, and to Dr. Doeren for the care and support given to Carlton and his family.
