Carlton “Bubba” Lee Greene Jr., 58, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2025 in Mathews. A native of Gloucester County, Carlton worked years for a mason contractor and loved what he did. You could always find a smile on his face no matter what was going on in his life. He loved catching a ride with Bay Transit weekly and putt-ing on his golf cart to the river shore to fish or just hang out. He was a die-hard “Commanders” fan.

Carlton was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Shirley Greene; brother, Stuart Greene; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Greene and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kellum.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Lanning (Ben) and Tiffany Greene; sisters, Anna Greene and Regina Pritchett (Chris); brother, Steven Greene (Kristen); two grandchildren, Addison and Liam, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Locust Grove Global Methodist Church, 1832 Windsor Road, Dutton, Va. 23050.
