CARL ROSS FOX

Carl Ross Fox, 77, of Gloucester, died at his home on Nov. 19, 2012 after a long illness.

Ross was born in York County to the late Marvin and Mary Fox, one of 12 children to include nine boys and three girls.

He loved restoring automobiles leading him to owning and operating several body shops including Ross’s Body Shop, Ross’s Grafton Auto Body Shop and lastly Fox Auto Repair until his health declined and his son Tab became the owner.

Ross loved deer hunting and NASCAR racing with his favorite driver being Matt Kenseth. His passion was his family and he loved spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Gordon, Clifton, Roland, Phillip, Irvin, William, Clyde and Earl Fox, and two sisters, Susie F. Hopkins and Rosalyn F. Holt.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce A. Fox; son, Tab Fox and wife Tammy; daughters, Cynthia Fox Clark and husband “Skip” and Tanya LaFata; sister, Carolyn Upton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren that he adored, and a host of many special friends.

A memorial service conducted by the Rev. Bill West was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family received friends prior to the service from 1-2 on Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment was private.

The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude for the special loving care given to Ross and the Fox family by the staff of Riverside Walter Reed Hospice.
