Car show benefits Venturing Crew 111

Boy Scout Venturing Crew 111 will hold a benefit car show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ware Episcopal Church, 7825 John Clayton Memorial Highway, Gloucester.

The show will include street rods, street machines, custom classics, antiques, light trucks and rat rods. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Crew Pick, Best in Show, Best Rat Rod, and Top 20.

The car show will be held, rain or shine. All proceeds benefit Venturing Crew 111. The event includes a DJ, food and drinks and baked goods available for purchase, a heated pavilion and free spectator parking. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.

Sponsored and hosted by Colonial Rod Club, the entry fee for those showing off their vehicles is $20, with the fee paid at the gate. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and judging ends at 12:30 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 cars that register.
