Camillucci to serve as grand marshal

Retired Gloucester music teacher Jim Camillucci has been named grand marshal of Saturday’s 2021 Gloucester Christmas and Holiday Parade.

After a 31-year teaching career during which he walked in the parade many times alongside students of all ages, Camillucci said the call to be Grand Marshal “was quite a surprise and quite an honor.”

“I spent my entire career in Gloucester,” he said. “It was a wonderful experience.”

Camillucci got a job teaching at the former T.C. Walker Elementary School not long after moving from New Jersey to Williamsburg in 1989. He had recently married, and his wife, Catherine “Cat” Trumpy-Camillucci, had accepted a position in admissions at the College of William and Mary.
