Photographer Mike Cunningham wrote, “I’ve been trying to get a shot of Delaware’s Kalmar Nyckel with sails extended for a couple of years now, and caught her today on a hazy cruise to port on the York River. It’s probably the most colorful of the replicas that have made a port call in Yorktown that I’ve seen in the last six years. Given the lack of wind power today, if I were riding it I’d be grateful for the engines kicking in.”
