Caljon Richard “C.J.” Hardrick, age 73, of Gloucester, died at his home on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

Born July 10, 1946 to the late Calvin and Mary Carter Hardrick, he had lots of skills in carpentry and plumbing before he was introduced to working on the water and was a true waterman in his heart. He loved having a good time and had many nicknames: a Gentle Giant, Horse, Big Red, Calhoun, C.J.; however, my favorite of them all was DADDY!

He is survived by one daughter, Shaelyn K. Forrest; two grandchildren, Re’Jaun Forrest, Nyleah Forrest; three brothers, Maurice Hardrick of North Carolina, Murray Haynes Hardrick of Maryland, and Cecil Hardrick of Gloucester.
