Abingdon Ruritan Club member Walter Priest (in center of circle, with Santa hat) ran the cake walk on Sunday afternoon at the children’s Christmas party at the club building in Bena, presenting homemade cakes to the lucky winners. The club opened its doors to the community and 170 children attended (along with their parents). Youngsters had the opportunity to tell Santa Claus what they want for Christmas, pick out a toy donated by the Toys for Tots program, play a number of games, enjoy refreshments, get a book and win one of several bicycles that were given away as door prizes.
