Cake sale to sweeten Guinea Heritage Day program

  

“The Guinea Heritage Association was established in 1995 to celebrate the people and traditions of a unique area renowned for men and women who work on the water.”

From this association came Guinea Heritage Day, an opportunity for people to learn about the past and present history of the people who reside, or once resided, or have members of the family who have relatives who once called these acres, nestled among the 288 square miles of Gloucester County, home.

Guinea Heritage Day is also the official introduction to the annual upcoming Guinea Jubilee. Both events happen soon so save the dates.

Events on Heritage Day include the crowning of Miss Jubilee, introduction of the Grand Marshal, announcing the winning poster artist, naming the children’s art contest winners, a pageant and the sale of various items.
