Cake baker turns a family recipe into a business

A bundt cake is not a specific flavor or recipe, but any cake baked in a distinctive ring-shaped pan. Characterized by its central tube and fluted or grooved sides, the shape allows for even heat distribution while baking and creates a decorative presentation that requires little or no frosting. Since last March, Anna Harwood has been in the business of baking and retailing her bundt cakes on Facebook. She is not new at making bundt cakes. Her family recipe, a secret, has pleased family and friends for a long time. Anna even made bundt cakes for her daughter’s wedding. “I made them in different flavors, butter pecan, red velvet and traditional.” (Her website lists many many, more flavor selections.)
