The guiding hand at CA&J Farm in Foster is Jean Howard. She describes the business, located at 5620 East River Road, Foster, as “an educational, off-grid solar capable medicinal herb and egg farm.”

CA&J offers programs on and off the farm with the goals of promoting natural wellness. Drum circles, music, an herbalist course, beehives, tours, the Yellow Barn Healthy Life Store, herbs and more plants for sale, a meditation labyrinth, Peace Path, chickens, ducks and two big dogs can all be found on the farm.

Jean and her husband C.A. Howard, whom she thanks “for believing in my vision, financing the farm startup and working hard too!” have brought her dream into reality in just a few short years. Master Gardener training and Crop Camp have augmented her knowledge.
