BZA upholds denial of zoning decision

Following a public hearing Tuesday night, the Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals upheld the zoning administrator’s decision to deny a permit application to replace an unoccupied nonconforming manufactured home with a manufactured home.

The subject property is located at 5144 Pullers Hill Road in the Abingdon Magisterial District. It is zoned Suburban Countryside (SC-1).

Planner Tripp Little said the board voted 6-0 to support the decision of Anne Ducey-Ortiz, director of planning and zoning, who is also the county’s zoning administrator. New member Douglas Johnson, who recently replaced C.W. Davis on the board, voted along with five other members to support the staff decision. Member Jim Leigh did not attend the meeting.
