BZA to consider appeal on Tuesday night

The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on an appeal at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the colonial courthouse.
Property owner Brenda J. Marks has filed an appeal contesting the denial of a zoning permit application to replace an unoccupied nonconforming manufactured home with a manufactured home.
The property is located at 5144 Pullers Hill Road in the Abingdon Magisterial District. It is zoned Suburban Countryside (SC-1).
Marks said in supplemental information included with her application that “the basis of this appeal is the zoning administrator has improperly interpreted and applied the zoning ordinance” and the lot and mobile home existed prior to the implementation of the county’s zoning ordinance.
In other matters, the board will hold election of officers for the new fiscal year that began July 1; establish the day, time and place for its regular meetings, and discuss new standards for variances and procedures.
