BZA to consider after-the-fact permit

The Mathews County Board of Zoning Appeals will consider a request for after-the-fact variances for a parcel on Sweet Gum Drive on Gwynn’s Island during a meeting beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20 in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

Mark and Candy Eubank have requested the variances for expansions made to their vacation home that encroach into the right-of-way and side yard setbacks and into the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Overlay District. The structures built were an 8’ x 26’ screened porch, an 8’ x 18’ open deck, and a 56-square-foot triangle-shaped deck.

Documentation on the request is available for public perusal in the planning and zoning office in the county’s administration building on Brickbat Road.
