Busy weekend at Arts on Main

Arts on Main has a busy weekend lined up, beginning with its weekly Open Studio from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the gallery on Main Street, Gloucester.
Artists should bring their own supplies and paint as they work alongside other artists, creating new friendships and getting advice on their work. It is free of charge, and no reservations are needed.
There will be two workshops and an open painting critique session on Saturday.
Studio 101 for 4-6 year olds will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The topic will be Pointillism Flower/Tree Painting. The cost is $25. The deadline to register is 5 p.m. today.
A Palette Knife Oil Painting Class for beginners will be taught by Rebecca West from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Students should bring a 10” x 10” to 11” x 14” canvas or canvas paper, oil paints, a palette knife, mineral spirits, and a box for paint transport.
