For more than 20 years, the Mathews Community Foundation has impacted the lives of residents through the generosity of its donors. A large part of that effort has been through the MCF Business Partners’ program.
This program asks local businesses to help fund the operational expenditures of the foundation so that 100 percent of donations received from individuals can be used to directly assist the community. Last year, 25 businesses took part in this program, a release said.
One of the organization’s consistent Business Partners is Chesapeake Counseling.
This group provides counseling to individuals, couples, children, adolescents and members of the military throughout the Middle Peninsula and beyond. Using a variety of therapy methods, Chesapeake Counseling is committed to assisting all its clients to live the lives they want and to be happy and productive.
“These counselors have been helping people in our area for many years and are a trusted source for businesses and individuals that may need their services,” said MCF Regional Affiliate Associate Ashleigh Elliott.
When asked about why it contributes to the Mathews Community Foundation’s Business Partners’ program, Chesapeake Counseling owner/counselor Jenny Pritchett of Mathews said that, “For more than 17 years, Chesapeake Counseling has tried to improve the lives of the people who live and work in Mathews County. The Mathews Community Foundation’s mission aligns with Chesapeake Counseling’s core beliefs and therefore we have supported MCF in its endeavor to better the lives of those who live and work in Mathews County.
“Chesapeake Counseling has been a business partner with MCF for years because we have been able to directly witness the difference MCF has made in the lives of our clients. Without MCF, countless clients would struggle to access vital services, making it a cornerstone for their ability to obtain support and care.”
If you are a business owner or employee in a company that is located in Mathews or provides services or products in the county, Elliott invites you to join this effort. Information about the program can be found at www.MathewsCF.org or call 804-725-3454 for more information.
