Burleigh Road in Gloucester is closed this week to through traffic as Gloucester employees fix a water main leak at the intersection of Burleigh and Route 17.

In addition, one lane of Route 17 south will be closed, and traffic from Short Lane will be unable to turn south on 17, a county notice said. Potential disruptions to water service are possible during this repair period, it was announced.

Also on the highways, the Virginia Department of Transportation will establish one-way alternating traffic today and Friday to gather soil samples at the intersection of Route 14, Adner Road, and Route 17.
