B&S Refuse expands customer services

 

B&S Refuse, Inc., located on Route 17, Hayes, recently expanded its services.

Owner Jim Stevens of Bena, said he now offers customers the use of three-cubic-yard dumpsters for larger projects than his regular 96-gallon trash containers can hold. The containers are designed so they can be lifted by B&S’s current trucks.

Stevens said the units are perfect for handling large amounts of yard debris or lots of trash and old household items. The new dumpsters are good for collecting storm and construction debris, he said, but not for demolition debris such as asbestos.

 

The new units—Stevens has eight to start—are contracted out for a week at a time. B&S has three collection trucks, which pick up trash on fixed routes once a week and recycling in similar 96-gallon containers every other week. The company employs three drivers and two secretaries.
