Bryan Wayne Rupp, 56, of Gloucester, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News.

He was born on July 22, 1960 in Neptune, New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army for 14 years and fought in Desert Storm as well as the Gulf War. His ending rank was an E-6.

He met and married Cornelia Lohnau on Nov. 22, 1985 in Sonderborg, Denmark, while serving in the Army.

Every weekend, you could find him watching a car show or the race with his children and grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy in life.

He is survived by his wife, Cornelia; two daughters, Jessica Rupp with Shawn Oram, and Cynthia and Michael Williams; his three grandchildren, Arella and Evan Williams and Isabella Oram; his parents, Janet Rupp and Harry Rupp Jr., as well as his siblings, Dorothy Rupp, Gwen Pippi, and Harry Rupp III.

Service and arrangements are through Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester.

Viewing will be Sunday, May 7 from 2-4 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, followed by a celebration of life at 5 o’clock at 13417 George Washington Memorial Highway, Saluda, Va. 23149.
