BRYAN KELLEY JAMES

Bryan Kelley James, 51, of Hayes, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at his home.

Bryan worked for the Department of Defense, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 23 years. He loved to collect and restore antique cars and was an avid collector of any antique memorabilia, and his favorite football allegiance was split between Green Bay and the Jets. Bryan loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Kelley James; stepfather, Edker Saunders; brothers, Michael Saunders and Thomas Moore Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kimberly James; son, Nicholas David James; mother, Ruth Saunders; sisters, Kathleen Leggette, Vivian Leigh Mancini (Robert) and Patricia Hoggard (Donnie); stepsister, Bonnie Breedlove (Tim); stepbrothers, Edker L. Saunders Jr., Timothy Saunders (Jeannie) and Richard Saunders (Donna), and mother-in-law, Burline Turner, and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside funeral service conducted by the Rev. Raymond Debreaux will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Va. 23666. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
