It is with great sadness that the family of Bryan K. Carter of Moyock, North Carolina, announces his passing May 4, 2017.

He was born in Rhode Island on Feb. 9, 1958, raised in Hampton, and graduated from Bethel High School.

In addition to opening and operating Gloucester Marble and Tile, Bryan enjoyed spending his time traveling, out on the river in his boat, and ensuring all of the birds and squirrels he could find were as fat and happy as possible.

He said goodbye to his wife, business partner, and travel companion Lea. He also leaves behind his son, Bobby (spouse Jody), and daughter, Becca (spouse Shane Pope) who have been blessed with his hard work ethic, love and humor. Additionally, Bryan will be remembered by his two grandchildren; four siblings; eight nieces and nephews, many grand-nieces and –nephews, and friends from his past. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Crown Pointe Marina, Hayes.
