Brochure helps Gloucester residents in need

A new information brochure is available to help people in Gloucester who are in need of food, clothing, shelter, financial assistance and medical care. It is available in print as well as online, at www.gloucesterva.info/grc.

A Samaritan Group publication, the brochure lists information on local and state agencies, faith-based groups and churches, and non-profit community and service groups in Gloucester. A list of general community service phone numbers is included, as well.

The Gloucester Resource Council’s Poverty Subcommittee and the Gloucester Department of Community Education provided assistance with the brochure, which will be distributed at public libraries, in the Social Services lobby, and by case workers with Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Counseling Center, and Social Services.

For more information, call Gloucester Community Education at 693-5730 or e-mail Amanda Wallace at awallace@gloucesterva.info.
