Broadus “Wendell” Crewe, 82, died in Hampton on Aug. 21, 2025.

He was born in Wicomico in 1943 to Broadus H. and H. Geneva Crewe.

Wendell attended Gloucester High School and University of Richmond. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carolyn Crewe Gray, and brother, Donald Crewe.

Survivors include his children, Michelle, Sean, and Christina Crewe.

Services, under the direction of R.W. Baker & Company, will be held at the Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
