A drilling crew from GET Solutions of Virginia Beach was in Mathews on Wednesday, Feb. 9, to drill core samples for communications towers that will be built at Mathews Volunteer Fire Department Station 2, Bohannon, and the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad building in Hudgins. The samples will help determine the design and height of the towers.
