Broadband survey deadline extended

The deadline for the broadband survey being conducted by Mathews County has been extended to Wednesday, Jan. 1. Mathews County Broadband Advisory Board Chair Judy Rowe told supervisors during their Dec. 17 board meeting that more responses will have a greater impact on grant funding for any broadband projects the county might wish to pursue.

An online link to the broadband survey can be found on Mathews County’s webpage (www.mathewscountyva.gov). Paper copies of the survey are also available at Mathews Memorial Library, Mathews County Treasurer’s Office, Mathews Active Lifestyle Center and Chesapeake Bank.

Both sides of the brief survey need to be filled out, said Rowe, and it’s vital that those completing the survey include the address of the property that the survey is for.

“Please make the survey a priority,” said Rowe, “and urge your friends and family to do so.”
