Brighton on the East River will be the setting for the annual Historic House Party, a fundraiser for the Fairfield Foundation in Gloucester. The party will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. The circa 1910 home is located near Port Haywood and commands a sweeping view down the East River and into Mobjack Bay. The party will include food and music and hands-on history, a release said. Fairfield personnel will give updates about archaeology and preservation projects across the Middle Peninsula.
