Brenda Fay Monnier, 72, of North, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was known as the “Bear Lady.”

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald A. Monnier; her children, Donald A. Monnier Jr., Mary Sue Purvis, Tammy Fay Nix, Michelle Lynn Lelle, and Nicole Shay; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and lots of extended family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 28, 2016, from 10-11 a.m., with funeral services starting at 11 o’clock. Burial will be at Bellamy Memorial Cemetery.
