Brenda A. Clements, 70, passed away at her home in Dutton, Va., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, with her loving family by her side.

Brenda was born Dec. 23, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Margaret Armistead. She was a lifelong member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church where she played the organ for 54 years. She also taught Sunday school and held many other positions in the church.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dicky Clements; two daughters, Christy Moughon (Bernard) and Amy Hudgins (Chris); four grandchildren, Dale and Hunter Hudgins, and Leanne and Jason Moughon; one brother, Charles R. Armistead Sr. (Betty), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family received friends on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Locust Grove United Methodist Church, Dutton. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
