Breaking ground

Construction began this week on the new Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Station 1 project, located on Main Street at the old Calvin Hotel site. Here, a lone excavator sits on the cleared lot ready for action. The $13.2 million project will be constructed by David Nice Builders of Williamsburg. GVFRS plans to hold an official groundbreaking ceremony next month....
