Botetourt Elementary School principal Felicia “Tish” Hudgins is scheduled to retire from her position on July 1, as approved by the Gloucester County School Board during its last meeting held on Feb. 10 at the T.C. Walker Education Center. Hudgins has served Gloucester County Public Schools for 32 years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. Under her leadership, Botetourt was selected as a 2025 National Blue Ribbon School and placed in the top 40 percent of schools, according to U.S. News and World Report. A search for her replacement has begun.
