Andi Booker, a 2020 graduate of Gloucester High School, has rescinded her commitment to Paul D. Camp Community College and instead signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball with Bryant & Stratton College on the Peninsula.
Booker was in the Dukes’ softball program since she was in the eighth grade and was slated to play third base this past spring until the season was canceled due to COVID-19, according to GHS head softball coach Red Lindsay. He said Booker was expected to hit in the middle of the Dukes lineup.
“It is nice to see Andi happy and excited about the opportunity that is in front of her,” Lindsay said. Booker will start classes in September and the Bobcats have a fall season opener scheduled in mid-September with a trip to Catawba Valley Community College in North Carolina.
