Gloucester High School senior Andi Booker has accepted an offer to play softball at Paul D. Camp Community College in Suffolk.

Booker was slated to be the Dukes’ everyday third baseman this spring, according to GHS softball coach Red Lindsay. The PDC Hurricanes are coached by Carrie Hoeft.

Booker plans to major in nursing and criminal justice in her two years at PDC before making a decision on the following years of her education.

“I am so very happy and proud that Andi has taken this step to continue her education and her softball career,” Lindsay said. “However, I am equally disappointed that Andi did not get a chance to compete during her senior year with the cancellation of spring sports. Andi will be great at PDC.”
