Book fair to be held next week at Lee-Jackson

Lee-Jackson Elementary School will host a Scholastic Book Fair next week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday in the school’s media center to raise funds for new library books and the Accelerated Reader Program, according to LaDonna Crain, the school’s media specialist.

The theme of this year’s fair is "Book Fair Luau! It’s a Reading Celebration!" Parents, grandparents, children, teachers and the community are invited to visit.

The book fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children’s classics, interactive software, adult books and current best-sellers from more than 100 publishers.

Book fair customers may also help the school build classroom libraries and improve children’s reading skills by purchasing books through the Classroom Wish List.

Purchases can also be made online at www.scholastic.com/schoolbookfairs from March 16 through April 6.
