“Old Stores of Gloucester County, Virginia” is the name of a new book by Bill Lawrence of Zanoni published by The Friends of the Museum.

The book is a compilation of photos, articles, advertisements, store receipts, and information of over 140 old stores, Lawrence said. It sells for $25 and will be available Sept. 23 at the Gloucester Museum of History, the Visitor Center, Buck’s Store Museum and Nuttall Country Store.

Lawrence will give a presentation on this book at 10 a.m. Monday in the community room of the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center, during a meeting of the Gloucester Genealogical Society.  ...
