BONNIE WARREN COX

Bonnie Warren Cox, 91, of Hayes, died Feb. 10, 2012 at his home with family at his side.

Bonnie was born and lived his whole life in Gloucester County. He was a member of Church of God, and retired in 1975 after more than 29 years from the fire department at Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown.

His generosity knew no bounds, he was a giver, always enjoyed doing and helping others. Bonnie loved to have a good conversation and never met a stranger. He loved his family and his friends and will always be remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Sallie Mae Cox; daughters, Doris Gibson, Betty Holden, Mary Hartman and husband John, Cindy Long; son, Jonathan Wayne Cox and wife Lori; sister, Ann Guckert; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden. The family received friends Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
