Bonita “Bonnie” Rae Wegener, 71, of Gloucester Point, died Oct. 3, 2012 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

An Episcopalian, Bonnie was a member of Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh. She loved people and spent years of devotion in caring for others as a nurse’s aide.

We would like to express our gratitude to the nurses and staff at Walter Reed Convalescent Center for their excellent care and acts of kindness during her time with them.

She is survived by husband of 34 years, Milton W. Wegener; daughters, Kelly McLaughlin and Lori Thrower; grandson, Adam Thrower, and one great-granddaughter.

A Service of Remembrance conducted by the Rev. Sven L. vanBaars and the Rev. Jennifer W. Kimball will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Abingdon Episcopal Church.
