Bohn to perform in comedy benefit show

Comedian Lucas Bohn will return to his native Mathews on Saturday, April 29, to perform his one-man comedy show “Lesson Plans to Late Night.” The show will be held at Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, beginning at 7 p.m.

The show will benefit the church’s outreach work, including the Snack Pack program.

“Lesson Plans to Late Night” is a show about Bohn’s transition from elementary school teacher to national touring comedian. It combines live stand-up comedy with visual images.

The show has been compared to Broadway’s solo play, “Defending the Caveman,” and was called “a comedic multimedia masterpiece” and “hysterical” by Parade Magazine.

Bohn has performed with such notable entertainers as Jimmy Fallon, Dave Chappelle and Kevin Hart, and he was nominated as “Comedian of the Year” in 2013 by Campus Activities Magazine.
