Bohannon School opens with good attendance

The Bohannon School opened on Monday with Miss M. A. Winter as principal, and Miss Lillie White, assistant. The attendance was good.
Mr. S. P. James, the popular proprietor of the Blue-Ribbon Grocery, will soon enlarge his store building and carry a much larger line of everything good to eat. Mr. James’s trade has increased to such an extent, due in part to his advertising in the Journal, that the addition is an absolute necessity.

On or about Oct. 1, Doctors Haute and J. M. Wiatt will begin the practice of dentistry in Gloucester, their native county. Both young men are widely and favorably known throughout Gloucester. They are graduates of the University of Cincinnati, which has the oldest dental department in the country.
