Bobby’s Auto Service Center recently moved to a new location and has added services and staff.

Owned by Bobby Polk of Gloucester, the new and larger shop is located on Route 17, Hayes. Previously, Polk, who has more than 30 years’ automotive repair experience, owned a smaller shop at Gloucester Point for four years.

Polk said the new shop has five service bays, two more than his previous location. He opened his new shop Feb. 27 and said he plans a customer appreciation day this spring.

A major change at the new shop is that Polk now has a parts department which allows for faster service for customers. His brother, Bill Polk of Gloucester, who handled other duties at the previous shop, is the parts manager.
