Bobbie Jean McFerrin, 71, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was a native of Dillon, S.C., and was the daughter of the late Roland and Lottie Lee Bryant.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Gloucester, and was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved God and was a Christian woman.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bernard Allen McFerrin; her children, Glenn Allen McFerrin and his wife Sammie, Susan Jewett and her husband Dan, Ellen McFerrin, and Sharon Lathrop and her husband David; her sister, Cleo McFerrin; her grandchildren, Joshua Jewett, Lauren Jewett, Kaityn Lathrop, and Zachary Lathrop; and her great-granddaughter, Madison Jewett.
  Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial was in Windsor Gardens Cemetery.

Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
