Boat Virginia

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 66, Mathews, held a Boat Virginia class on April 20. Students and instructors at the class were, seated from left, Arthur B. Call Jr., Brent A. Christian, Tyler M. Christian, David O. Foster, William D. James Jr., Susan E. Jones; standing, instructor Ray Procopio, Emily M. Loving, Jefferson L. Moore, Griffin D. Smith, James E. White, Ryan E. White, Evelyn Wilton, and instructors Michael Gregory and Gene Schoeck. Not pictured are instructors Ted Broderson and Tom Edwards. Special recognition and congratulations went to Susan Jones, who achieved a perfect score with 60 correct answers. The next no-cost boating safety class offered by Flotilla 66 will be on Saturday, May 18, at the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad building located at 94 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins.
