Effective Jan. 1, several fees at Beaverdam Park will be increased, according to a release from the Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism office.

The increases are being instituted to help offset additional park operation expenses. The new fees are as follows:

Boat, motor and battery rental for the day, $30; boat, motor and battery rental for the hour, $15; boat rental for the day, $15; canoe rental for the day, $15; canoe rental for the hour, $5; paddle boat rental for the day, $5; paddle boat rental for the hour, $3.

Interior design

Parks & Rec is taking registration for interior design classes, levels one and two. Students will participate in a hands-on activity-oriented course. A presentation board will be the end product of the class.
