The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will meet with the Gloucester School Board Tuesday night to discuss several topics, which have proved to be controversial in recent months.
The two boards will meet at 7 o’clock in the Gloucester High School auditorium and are expected to discuss in more depth the plans for the proposed new Page Middle School, the future of the former T.C. Walker Elementary School, the future of the old Page site, other school capital needs, and how those projects will be funded.
The decision was made nearly a year ago to move forward with building a new middle school on land the county owns on T.C. Walker Road to replace the Page Middle School building that was severely damaged by a tornado in April 2011. The decision subsequently sparked animosity between a group of county residents and the school board.
