Blues singer Bobby BlackHat returning to MHS stage

Virginia’s Blues Ambassador Bobby BlackHat and his band will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Mathews High School in the Concerts by the Bay series. Band members are, from left, Michael Behlmar, Brian Eubanks, Lucy Kilpatrick, Bobby BlackHat, and Danny Lubertazzi. Cal Hamlin will sub in for Kilpatrick, who will be in France.

Bobby BlackHat will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, in the Mathews High School auditorium.
Local audiences have requested the return to the Mathews stage of Bobby BlackHat, known as Virginia’s Blues Ambassador. He is an award-winning recording artist, songwriter, harmonica players, comedian, and producer.
Bobby BlackHat has opened for such music legends as B.B. King, Patti Labelle, and more. His music blends the influences of Chicago, Memphis, Piedmont, and Delta-style blues, as along with a bit of Gospel music.
Tickets are $30 at the door; students with ID are admitted free of charge.
