Bluegrass by the Bay underway in Gloucester

The Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay RV Campground, a family campground in Gloucester, is holding its 14th annual Bluegrass by the Bay Festival now through Saturday. Annually the campground hosts the festival to celebrate local artists.

The festival runs from Wednesday through Saturday and features a dozen bands. Headliners at the event include local favorite Nothing Fancy. Tickets are available for purchase at the gate. The event runs from noon to 10 p.m. each day.

Gate day tickets are $40 on Thursday, $35 on Friday and $45 on Saturday.

In addition to the festival, on Wednesday night there will be a cornhole tournament for campers at the campground where all proceeds go to the Bluegrass Scholarship Fund. The fund supports the Bluegrass summer youth camp in North Carolina which helps students learn how to play an acoustic bluegrass instrument.
