Blue Ribbon Volunteers honored in Gloucester

Seven organizations and 47 individuals were recognized April 18 during the first Blue Ribbon Volunteer recognition program held in Gloucester County.

Those selected from the nominations received are “the best of the best” of Gloucester’s many volunteers, said Debbie Lancucki, chairperson of the Gloucester Resource Council, which sponsored the program and reception at T.C. Walker Education Center in cooperation with the Gloucester Department of Community Engagement.

Some of the organizations and individuals were recognized for making major commitments of time and energy, others for significant contributions to the community and meaningful impact here, the program said. “This recognition is a direct reflection of the amazing dedication and commitment by the citizens of our county,” said Haley Poulson, co-chairperson of the Gloucester Resource Council’s Blue Ribbon Volunteer Committee.
