A day after the Mathews High School girls faced off against Tabb in a preseason basketball game, the MHS boys took on the Tigers themselves. In Friday’s contest, the varsity Devils pulled out a thrilling victory over Tabb, 62-59, while the junior varsity boys played by quarter, without keeping a final score.
