Blown Away Salon moves to larger quarters

Blown Away Salon recently relocated into larger quarters at Hayes Store Shopping Center, Hayes.

Owner Michelle Green held a ribbon cutting on Aug. 24 and followed that with an open house Sept. 3 that featured refreshments, complimentary chair massages, discounts on haircuts, and drawings for prizes. During the open house, Blown Away collected school supplies that will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club and held a fundraiser to benefit the Church of Abraham building fund.

Blown Away has all new equipment in its larger shop, Green said. She and her staff now have 1,600 square feet, double the rental space at Hayes Plaza Shopping Center they occupied for five years.

The larger location has brought two more stylists to the staff. Leanne Cherry of Hayes and Beth DeLaurentis of Mathews both work there part-time.
