A pair of American Red Cross blood drives will be held later this month in the area.

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, there will be blood drives at Gloucester’s Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 82 in Saluda.

The Gloucester drive will be held at the church on Main Street from noon to 6 p.m. The Middlesex County drive runs from 2-7 p.m. at the post headquarters at 192 Watson Landing Road. To make an appointment to donate at either drive, visit redcrossblood.org.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the following day, Wednesday, March 1, there will be a smaller blood drive at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. Other March blood drives in Gloucester include March 28 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club and Wednesday, March 29, at Gloucester High School. The next Mathews blood drive will be held on April 18.
