Blind Boys of Alabama featured performers at Jazz Fest

The four-day Winter Blues Jazz Fest is back for its eighth year. The event will take place Jan. 13-16 in Williamsburg.This year’s Winter Blues Jazz Fest has a little something for everyone, kicking off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13 at the Williamsburg Winery with Tahira Clayton from New York.

Friday brings two events, the popular Mixology & Music, featuring a mixology cocktail sampling, and live music performance by hometown favorite Good Shot Judy from 7-9 p.m. at the Virginia Room of the Williamsburg Lodge, and a Friday late night event with live music by Michael Hawkins and the Brotherhood from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Current Midtown Clubhouse, 221 Monticello Avenue.

​Saturday’s event lineup begins with the Big Bluesy, a beer, wine and cider tasting, featuring live blues music on two stages (Lurrie Bell and Veronica Lewis) from noon to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Room of the Williamsburg Lodge.
